Felipe Calderon’s Argument FOR Strict Border Control

In Calderon’s world, sauce for the goose is not sauce for the gander…

Say again, Phil? What was that? Yep. Mexico’s strict enforcement of its southern border goes far, far beyond current U.S. federal law and the Arizona law Calderon claims goes against “human rights”, and Calderon unwittingly admits as much to Wolf Blitzer.

Of course he and his lapdog, Barry “Franchesca” Soetoro, expect that the vast herd of sheeple won’t twig to their scam.

The Idea Has a Certain Je Ne Sais Quoi

Vlad Tepes had a way of dealing with “illegal aliens” who transgressed his borders:

Hmmm, an idea for our borders? Pour encourager les autres, as it were…

While the idea has a certain appeal, I doubt it’d get by all the screaming from the “Surrender our borders!” bunch.

Immigration Reform

Walter Williams’ position is one I can endorse:

Here’s Williams’ suggestion in a nutshell. Start strict enforcement of immigration law, as Arizona has begun. Strictly enforce border security. Most importantly, modernize and streamline our cumbersome immigration laws so that people can more easily migrate to our country.

Of course, he might not endorse my own position on “strict enforcement of immigration law” and strict “enforce[ment of] border security” as I’d take “strict” to be synonymous with “Draconian”. That is, I’d make sure that ANYONE caught employing illegal aliens (alien invaders) was simply and plainly put out of business, all properties confiscated and put on the auction block (with previous owners excluded from bidding from prison). Of course, that’d take some modifications to existing laws, but bureaucraps do that all the time already without any quibbles from congresscritters. Then, machine gun nests or whatever else is necessary along our borders (along with Naval patrols of our waters) with “shoot to kill” ROI. All that’d take would be an executive order. That’d about do it for enforcing our sovereignty over our borders.

Then, of course, overhauling our immigration processes to allow potentially useful immigrants to more easily enter would be a Very Good Thing, but ONLY after working as diligently as possible to get rid of the scofflaws and place serious barriers to their return. (Yes, I’d take note–including biometric data–of all alien invaders caught for deportation and put them permanently on a “back of the line until no one else from your country wants to come in” list. It’s the only Fair way to deal with line jumpers.)

Well, Duh: 87% Say English Should Be U.S. Official Language

87% Say English Should Be U.S. Official Language

Posted using ShareThisto start with. 😉

Rasmussen:

Americans continue to overwhelmingly believe that English should be the official language of the United States and reject by sizable margins the idea that such a move is racist or a violation of free speech.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 87% of Adults favor making English the nation’s official language. This is the highest level of support yet but in line with what voters have been saying for several years. Just nine percent (9%) disagree.

Oh, and while you’re at it, you weenie, venal poltroons in D.C., BUILD THE FENCE! (And man it with .50 cal machine gun nests with ROI making an area just north of our borders a “shoot to kill” zone, and whatever else necessary to say, “We’re serious about our borders!”)

And while you’re at it, you f-in’ idiots, traitors and corruptocrats, fix immigration so that

  1. those who give jobs to illegals lose everything they own and are put on chain gangs making little rocks from big ones and
  2. those who want to legally immigrate and show evidence they will become productive citizens (not welfare leeches or subversive/terrorist scum like the La Raza criminals and typical, average, Mohamed-honoring Moose-limbs) can immigrate more easily.

Ann Coulter Pwns Juan Williams

And a LEGAL immigrant shames the Tuscon City Council for considering suing the State of Arizona over its recent law enjoining its own law enforcement officers to enforce federal immigration laws.

h.t. Hot Air

Update: Peggy Noonan (yes, she’s still worth reading every now and then, despite having her head clogged by Beltway clannishness almost as badly as most of the politicians she accuses of living in the Beltway echo chamber) has this to say about the “feddle gummint’s” absolute failure to do anything meaningful about border control:

Why does the federal government do this? Because so many within it are stupid and unimaginative and don’t trust the American people. Which of course the American people have noticed.

Well, duh, Peggy. This statement could apply equally well to almost ANYTHING the “feddle gummint” does, though, so why just single out border control? (*heh* I was talking with a National Guard guy earlier this week about his take on why certain procedures are in place, and we agreed that they key was that the best way of doing things was likely known but was always taken off the table in favor of procedures that would exacerbate problems, be the least efficient or take the most time, money and personnel. It’s just the nature of bureaucrats to make certain it is so… )

A Point of No Return?

I’ve said for some time now that The Ø! and his minions are behaving as if they have nothing to fear at the voting booth. Thomas Sowell points out one of the ways they have of fixing that problem… by “fixing” the balance of voters:

What will it matter if Obama’s current approval rating is below 50 percent among the current voting public, if he can ram through new legislation to create millions of new voters by granting citizenship to illegal immigrants? That can be enough to make him a two-term President, who can appoint enough Supreme Court justices to rubber-stamp further extensions of his power.

When all these newly minted citizens are rounded up on election night by ethnic organization activists and labor union supporters of the administration, that may be enough to salvage the Democrats’ control of Congress as well.

The last opportunity that current American citizens may have to determine who will control Congress may well be the election in November of this year. Off-year elections don’t usually bring out as many voters as Presidential election years. But the 2010 election may be the last chance to halt the dismantling of America. It can be the point of no return.

It’s more important than ever that people who care about the rule of law (as opposed to The Ø! and his minions’ unconstitutional outlawry) to work harder than ever before against any amnesty plan for alien invaders.

Nothing Says “Sinko duh Mayo” Like “I Won’t Listen If You Don’t Speak English”

Welcome to the alternative Sinko duh Mayo celebration at third world county. As long as the government of Mexico is actively encouraging its struggling and mostly subliterate poor to disregard our border and our laws and enter this country illegally, obtain false IDs via identity theft rings, steal jobs Americans WILL do, steal services they are not entitled to and avoid border checks for infectious diseases, well, as long as the Mexican government is going to actively encourage their citizens to do such things I’ll continue to mock Mexico’s big stinkin’ deal holiday. *feh* Celebrates what? The handing of rule from one kleptocratic oligarchy off to another (largely peopled by the same kleptocrats)?

Yep. That’s what Mexico’s answer to our Fourth of July celebration is really all about, folks.

No, I’m not going to link every factual statement above to support my opinion that Mexico is a prime example of the stinky, unwashed, corrupt armpit of Latin America. Frankly, I’m hoping some latino racists drop by and submits some more subliterate, idiotic rants calling ME a racist so I can have fun mocking the “mex-boyz” (and goilz) idiotic comments.

N.B. BTW, I have no problem with any LEGAL immigrant, you know, someone who’s played by the rules, waited their place in line and entered the country legally, no matter what their ethnic background. But since I abhor the filthy cretins who are invading this country in complete and absolute disrespect for our laws, I’m sure I’ll garner a few accusations of racism, as I have in the past. At least, I hope so. I like thumping on empty heads with a verbal ax handle. *heh*

Tip of the Iceberg

The following ad, from NumbersUSA and the Coalition for the Future American Worker, only touches on the LEGAL immigrants our government brought in to take your neighbors’ jobs; illegal aliens depressing the low-end job market aren’t addressed in the ad, so remember: it’s just the tip of the iceberg… or the tip of the spear aimed at the heart of the American economy by worthless politicians *spit*.

Jerry Pournelle has said, “We are already in the beginning phases of a Dark Age. We can still get back, but we have to want to do that.” Listen to him, because if we blindly, placidly, passively welcome the coming of the dark, we may deserve what we get, but surely our grandchildren do not.
