No, of Course It’s Not a Double Standard

That would be hypocritical, and we all know hopey-changey-ists can’t be hypocritical, now can they?

The manufactured Mass MEdia Podpeople Hivemind “outrage” at the Obama-as-Joker graphic that’s gone viral (check how many folks are using it as their avatar on Facebook!) is strange, given the eight years’ outpouring of anti-Bush graphics, ranging from Bush-as Chimp through Bush-as-Hitler all the way to Bush-as-vampire, included a Vanity Fair depiction of Bush as the Joker.

Hmmm, could it be that, despite deep pockets pushing the images and Mass MEdia Podpeople Hivemind investment in them, the fact that the depictions of Bush-as Chimp, Bush-as-Hitler, Bush-as-vampire and Bush as the Joker did NOT go viral, did NOT strike a real chord in the hearts and minds of millions of common Americans, do you think that may play a part in the manufactured Mass MEdia Podpeople Hivemind “outrage” at the depiction of Obama-as-Joker?

Or could it be that those who wrongly see themselves as the elite (when they’re little more than mindless hacks and drones) really are too stupid and wrong-headed and basically unfair as to think that sauce for the goose is not sauce for the gander?

Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau/Alfred Brendel – “Der Lindenbaum” -Die Winterreise

I think my appreciation for Alfred Brendel, first discovered as I listened to Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau accompanied by him instead of Gerald Moore, as had so often been the case, can be summed up in Brendel’s own comment,

“I am responsible to the composer, and particularly to the piece.”

That one simple, but extremely difficult, committment is why Brendel is so very good in finding the “voice” of his instrument–the piano. His committment to getting as close as he possibly can to the composer’s intention is fiendishly difficult, especially in a society where almost all artists seek to place their own thoughts, feelings and personalitiews above that of the desires of the composer, even when a composer may have explicitly stated directions and commentary for performance guidelines.

“I am responsible to the composer, and particularly to the piece.”

I can appreciate that, especially since in attempting to be responsible in such a way it results in such excellence of performance as Brendel’s.

Ignorance at the “Cafe au Lait” House

The 0! to the elderly, “Take a pill.”

Now, after my Wonder Woman’s incident eleven years ago, when she was about The 0!’s age today, I learned a few things about the heart, both physical and metaphorical, that The 0! seems to have no concept of whatsoever. First, many types of arhythmias are untreatable by taking a pill, and none of them are treated by simply “tak[ing] a pain pill” as The 0! would prescribe in his best political medical wisdom. (Translation: he’s a complete jackass.)

And tghen there are matters of the heart of which he seems completely unaware. He counts dollar cost as more important than a 100 year old woman’s joie de vivre and her daughter’s enhanced quality of life with her vital, enthusiastic mother present. No, it might simply be better to give the old biddy a pain pill and let her die of the untreated arhythmia.

That goes beyond jackassery all the way to evil. F**k him and the horse he rode in on!

The hypocrisy of the Obama administration is growing to match that of one to whom he has been compared by his cronies and sycophants in the Mas MEdia Podpeople Hivemind:

Cinéma Vérité? Unfortunately, No *sigh*

Close, but no cigar. While sadly amusing, the video below fails, because, as we all know, any attempt by The 0! to speak without input from the TOTUS is filled with stammering “uhs” and incoherent ramples. While the actor portraying The 0! in the video below does inject some of The 0!’s typical rambling speech patterns, the video fails to portray the utter incompetence at common speech typical of The 0! when speaking extemporaneously and not being fed his lines by TOTUS. Otherwise, not bad at all.

What is he hiding?

is of a decidedly different document to the one posted by The 0!’s campaign last year (second image):

The first image is either a very, very good forgery or the second two are very bad ones. My gut impression is that the document in the first image is much, much more convincing than the two–very different, to each other as well as to the document in image #1–documents imaged below it.

I seriously doubt that the second two imaged documents would suffice for application for a fedgov job, or even for State-certified licensure in any number of professions, since even notarized hospital-issued birth certificates are disallowed and they carry much more information than the short form “Certification of Live Birth” (note: NOT the long form “Certificate of Live Birth” Hawaii does still issue) pictured by The 0!’s minions.

So far, he’s spent over a million dollars in legal fees to quash inquiries into simple documentation of his past–documentation nearly everyone is expected to be able to make available to any number of government offices, prospective employers, etc.

What is he hiding?

Stealing Money From Your Grandchildren

…to buy a car today. That’s what the “Cash for Clunkers” program is about. (Heck, that’s what well more than half of government spending’s about anymore. *sigh*) Everyone who’s gone out and bought a new car recently under the now strapped-for-cash “Cash for Clunkers” program has gotten their “feddle gummint” money on the deal by billing your children and grandchildren; it’s all “pay the debt forward” in a very perverse way.

And this idiotic greenie idea that it’ll do something wonderful for the environment is plain hooey. It’ll take at least five years of substantial fuel economy savings for these new cars to “pay” for the energy it took to manufacture them, more than likely. Probably more. And by that time, what do you want to bet that most of the buyers of these new cars will be ready to trade in on another energy deficit car?

Meanwhile, cars thjat have already “paid off” their energy deficits are being trashed–the drivetrains (the most energy-intensive postions of the manufacture) of “Cash for Clunkers” program trade-in cars are all being turned into scrap metal. Scavenging drivetrain parts (huge energy savings in avoiding manufacturing new replacement parts, and even moderate energy savings from rehabbing used parts) for cars folks would rather repair than scrap becomes impossible.

Now, Congress is talking about stealing another two billion dollars from your grandchildren for this boondoggle.
