Car. Retire a car.
We buy used cars. Always have, and probably always will. It’s worked out pretty well for us, but after 10 years on a car we bought used, even with good maintenance and repair all along, sometimes a moderately large repair bill will start the head scratching.
And so it is now with my Wonder Woman’s car, one of our favs over the decades—very comfortable, good handling, excellent fuel economy, etc. While I agree with her desire to keep it and keep it running well, a repair bill equal to 25% of is purchase price 10 years ago is right at the edge of “noper” for me. Still, worth it for her comfort, and the rest of the car checks out as solid, so. . . I’m looking forward to writing the check. I’ll even throw in the almost worthless Haynes manual as a tip. . . 😉

Something brought you to mind, so checking to see if you are still, well, doing your thing. Glad to see you still at it 🙂 I think your mental is doing just fine. It’s just that our heads are so full of stuff now that it takes a little longer to find what we’re trying to get to. In seat college algebra at age 64 showed me I remembered more than I thought. G-son headed to Mo S&T this fall, wants to be an engineer, does “icky” math. Cars…383,000 on a ’06 Honda Pilot, nothing major except for a deer encounter, needs a wheel bearing now. Name is Wanda, and I pat her and tell her we’ve got many more miles to go together. Sympathy for your health issues. Two camps, mission trip, and then I’m sidelined for a month with severe cellulitis…not a good time! I’m a tough girl, but that was rough. Still making the music, still messing with kids. I’ll check in more often.
Hey! Thanks for the check-in! Health? As a “neighbor” (he traded his house up the street when he sold his rental properties in a nearby neighborhood but kept seven acres and a LARGE storage building behind our property) said to me recently, getting old ain’t ALL fun. . . *heh*
Have a nap. That usually helps. 😉
