War: short and cheap OR short and victorious but cheap and victorious? Pipe dream.

No war is cheap, unless you’re a politician. And short of a humiliating defeat, that has nothing to do with cowardice, no war we engage in should end in anything less than victory.
Somehow though I think we’re unable to muster the will to win as a nation anymore. I hope I’m wrong.
One can hope, Perri, but the current atmosphere leads me to suspect such hope will be dismayed.
