Typical output of some over-paid government weenie with too much time on his hands:
Don’t you dare say, “Only on the Left Coast,” cos it could happen in your town just as easily.

(And yeh, I know raccoon droppings have the rap of potentially being laced with rabies or Baylisascaris procyonis–a roundworm that burrows into brains, but really: kids that’re dumb enough to eat feces probably already have are worse problems… Heck, they’d likely grow up to vote for a libtard. “Yum, gimme some more o’ that, Mr. Congresscritter! I just loves that shit!” Worse: they probably already do vote for libtards via the “any vote fraud is good enough for us” program run by the Dhimmicraps.)

My office is worse. Again. If I seem absent for the next few days, maybe that’s the reason.

No, not that one, though it may be featured in a post later this week. Thirty years, five months and ~3 weeks ago, my Wonder Woman had called me up from Twilight Zone, Colorado (she swears to this day that the town had never been there in any of her drives over that route and wasn’t there on her return trip) to say she’d been thinking over my “suggestion” and decided to marry me anyway. *heh* Then, thirty years ago today, I promised my Wonder Woman that I would be faithful in our shared struggle to build our lives together (hence, the “Thirty Years’ War”), and she simply gave herself to me.
(Twenty years and four months, to the day, after she had made her “miracle call” she participated in another miracle: dying three times in one day and nevertheless surviving. THAT was an interesting time… the ten years since that day have all been bonus years.)
We’ve had a good “Thirty Years’ War” life together, on balance–I’d say “gooder” for me than for her, but she slaps my hand when I start going there. π
So, today is our wedding anniversary. Flooded with memories of the day and memories of the intervening years. I’ll be busy today and not around twc, so play nicely, OK?

“Spring forward, fall back.”
Yep. just a heads up for those of y’all still wondering about the silly changes in DST. This year, at 2:00 a.m. Sunday, November 2, most of the U.S. will roll clocks back to 1:00. That means, for those of us who don’t plan on being awake at that time, rolling clocks back tonight before heading off for some shuteye.
Personally, I plan on making tonight a “storage battery” night and heading off to get some much needed rest even earlier than usual. Ginormously pooped out already, and it’s only 8:00 (DST) in the ayem here. Sure, been up since 5:00, but that’s no real excuse, now is it? As a matter of fact, I think I’ll go take a nap now, too.
Buh-bye!
No, not that one (although, it would be nice if The Obamassiah shared that dream instead of the racist dreams he apparently has). I have a small dream, and not the one of a restoration of the Founders’ Constitutional Republic, either. But before my small dream (OK, daydream, fantasy, whatever), this, found at Stop the ACLU:
That’s right. Obama was talking openly of taking from white folks to give to black folks as his “wealth redistribution plan” at least as far back as 1995 (while he was serving on the board of the Woods Fund with the openly “proud” communist terrorist, Bill Ayers).
Now, my daydream?
1. Obama goes down hard on November 4. Shows his true colors as a race-baiter and incites and encourages black violence.
2. Tony Rezko, singing like a canary, implicates The One in his crimes and an indictment is lodged.
3. The FEC finally gets off its hinky fundament and performs its due dilligence, discovers over half of The One’s fundraising was from illegal sources, in illegal aggregate amounts, etc. Indictments follow.
4. Philip Berg’s fraud case against The One finally gains traction and facts show Obama has not been an American citizen at any time in his life. He’s arrested as an illegal alien, his wealth is tied up in the fraud case and
5. All these charges are upheld, convictions won, case for fraud won by Berg (wiping out Obama’s millions in restitution to defrauded legal contributors).
6. A penniless, disgraced Obama, headed for the federal lockup and then deportation after serving his sentences is offered mercy by a benevolent McCain: commutation of his sentences in return for service to the country he has defrauded and attempted to destroy. All sentences held in abeyance as long as Obama never sets foot in the US again, never interferes in US politics or foreign policy or in any other way, shape, fashion or form performs acts which have an impact on the welfare of the US.
Well, a guy can (day)dream, can’t he? The fact that the consequences of The Obamassiah’s duplicitous behavior will certainly not all come home to roost is almost sure. But
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” Galatians 6:7
Go God!

She is so absolutely, remarkably, spectacularly ordinary. I think the magic of Sarah Palin speaks to a belief that so many of us share: the sense that we personally know five people in our immediate circle who would make a better president than the menagerie of candidates the major parties routinely offer. Sarah Palin has erupted from this collective American Dream β the idea that, given nothing but classic American values like hard work, integrity, and tough-minded optimism you can actually do what happens in the movies: become Leader of the Free World, the President of the United States of America. (Or, well, you know, vice president.)
(Yes, I am serious about reading the whole thing; that’s why I made the whole of the blockquoted material clickable. Go!)

I’ve been sticking with the “ancient” Journalized Theme from Mike Little ever since Diane initially set up a WordPress blog for me back in 2005 as an inducement for me to move off Blogger. It’s been through more than a few WP upgrades and has gotten cluttered with all kindsa stuff ove the years, but until my upgrade today, to WP 2.6, it managed to creak along.
No more, though. WP 2.6 welland truly bashed, thrashed and trashed trhe Journalized theme, so now I’m shopping around for something that either suits me or is a quick mod or three away from suiting me. Make my own? Not a profitable use of my time. So, expect twc to look a bit off-color, as it were, for a while as I twiddle with whatever happens to strike me as something I might be able to live with.
You know, once upon a time, long, long ago, when I was very young and very, very stupid (yes, even more stupid than I am now), I subscribed to the aphorism that there are no stupid questions.
Time, experience and some sometimes very painful lessons have proven the stupidity of that aphorism.
And so, I have come to realize that some questions, especially some posed archly by those who suppose they have answers to offer, are stupid questions.
“Why was Stonehenge built?”–offered by yet another dumbass supposing they have discovered “the” answer, is one such stupid question.
Look, the only way we can know why Stonehenge was built is to ask the people who built it, because no one left us any written statement of purpose for the place. We may infer certain hypotheses from whatever information is there, but absent a clear, unequivocal statement from the builders, any supposition about why it was built is simply that: supposition.
So, go back in time and ask the builders. Oh, while you are traveling back in time to ask, be sure to travel back in space to where the Earth was at the time, since it’s moving away from its present position in our galaxy (along with the sun, the moon and all the stars we can see in their respective places) at an enormous rate of speed. (One of the problems with “time travel” as posited in science fiction is suspending disbelief in order to read/watch the stuff when time travel is mentioned, cos even if the position in time problem is solved, the position in space problem is almost never dealt with in any way, shape, fashion of form.)
And “Why was Stonehenge built?” is only one of numerous stupid questions asked–and that’s just in the class of “Stupid questions that cannot be answered” class. Another obvious class of stupid questions is the political class, containing such questions as, “Why do politicians feel the need to assuage the feelings of and otherwise pander to criminals?” Why is that a stupid question you ask? ( Now THAT’S a stupid question! :-)) Because the answer’s so obvious, of course. Politicians *spit* pandering to criminals has two very, very obvious reasons:
1. Most politicians *spit* are simply a subclass of criminal and
2. Law-abiding citizens strike no fear into political poltroons, whereas other fellow-members of the criminal class are indeed often powers to fear, because another aphorism of my youth is true: there is no honor among thieves (though there may be a cameraderie of like minds, of a sort, e.g., a congresscriter’s disingenuous reference to an “opponent” as “My esteemed colleague… ” instead of the more honest, “My partner in crime… “).
So, BOLO for stupid questions and their even stupider answers. You can most easily filter for stupid questions by asking yourself who is posing it. For example, stupid questions are most often posed by
politicians *spit*
