A Sidebar on the Constitution
While The 0! and his minions on both side of the Uniparty aisle continue their assault on the Constitution, I thought I might reveal choices for my Top Five Worst Presidents of All Time:
In order, from worst down, my top five are The 0!, Dhimmi Kahtah, Franklin Roosevelt, James Buchanan and… the president that resulted from Buchanan’s waffling and mishandling of the 10th Amendment issues before him, (dis)Honest Abe Lincoln.
Yes, you read me right. apart from the “winners-writing-history” aspects of Mr. Lincoln’s War” and all the Lincoln hagiography, there’s a ton of evidence that Lincoln’s quest for centralizing power in the federal government (a stated goal of his) was the first real success in bringing down the Founders’ views of a limited federal government with strictly enumerated powers, for the first time setting the U.S. firmly on the road toward the “feddle gummint” we have today. In fact, it’s popular among libtard Academia Nut Fruitcake scholars to celebrate Lincoln for his “rewriting” of the Constitution to enhance federal power in ways the Founders specifically eschewed. And it’s why folks who are aware of the damage done to the Founders’ Constitution sometimes quietly whisper, “The Constitution died at Appomattox,” though they are wrong of course; it didn’t die there. It was only dealt a mortal wound.
Can the Constitution be ressurected by a new generation of patriots influenced by The Founders’ wisdom? Maybe. But from what I saw and heard of the 9-12 rally, it doesn’t seem likely, because few there (or speaking, at least) seemed to have any clues as to the constitutionality–or lack thereof–of the issues that they addressed.
“From the mountains, to the prairies… “
…to the Left Coast: ACORN just keeps the “Counseling for Pedophile Sex Slave Ring” advice rolling in! Glen Beck had it at the top of the hour @5:00 Eastern 09*15-09, and you can find it now at Biggovernment.com.
Coming soon, a new super hero movie about Hannah Giles and James O’Keefe Exposing the Evils of ACORN and Our (Poisonous)Nut-in-Chief? *heh*
Remember, this is a guy–The 0!–who promised ACORN “a place at the table,” who has a longstanding symbiotic relationship with ACORN, who has held clinics for ACORN on using Alinsky’s tactics for radicals and has represented them in court cases to force banks to give risky loans (you know, the kinds of risky loans that eventually brought down the Fannie Mae house of cards, etc.?).
Birds of a feather should be tarred with the same brush. (Yeh, I mixed the metaphors. So? Metas are for mixing, sometimes. *heh*)

Once an investigation starts, as has apparently already been started in Brooklyn, who knows what may come of subpoenaed records? Once one card falls, perhaps even Eric Holder won’t be able to derail a RICO investigation. And if THAT were to start, all The 0!’s longstanding ties to ACORN will eventually come out. Teapot Dome Scandal? Watergate? Penny-ante stuff. If this gains juuuust enough traction, it can
make investigations of the rest of The 0!’s past more likely
quite possibly bring about a change of administration before Inauguration Day, 2013.
God bless Giles and O’Keefe.

D.C. Tea Party
Fresh Update: from 1964, Bob Dylan:
Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Dont stand in the doorway
Dont block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
Theres a battle outside
And it is ragin.
Itll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin.
UPDATE: from the UK’s Daily Mail,
Up to two million march to US Capitol to protest against Obama’s spending in ‘tea-party’ demonstration (N.B. Daily Mail changed the headline to “Up to one million” today, with no notice of the redaction. Not good journalism.)
“Up to” would of course include a smaller number, but nowhere near as small as the “60,000-70,000” some jackasses in the Mass MEdia Podpeople Hivemind have asserted.
Watch for Keith Olbermann to make some sneering comment about the number of folks who share his sexual preferences.
Here, from a Wshington D.C. traffic cam, a view of the D.C. Tea Party:
No doubt The 0! and his minions will sneer at this gathering as well.

MORE!
ACORN accuses Fox News of being racist for revealing ACORN sleeze. Nuh-uh, says moi. What’s racist about video showing no less than FOUR BLACK WOMEN telling a white guy and his purported prostitute-prospective-madam how to run a sex slave business? Supposedly using Salvadoran children? Nothing racist about that, is there? Just the facts, madams.
Of course, this assinine accusation of racism on Fox’s part was issued before the Washington D.C. video was released… I guess now it’s going to be just more charges of racism from folks who wouldn’t even recognize their own racism if it slapped them upside the head with a dead cod. *sigh* Some folks really would be more valuable as compost than as ongoing oxygen sinks… but that’s not my decision to make (though I hope you’d excuse me a little dream that they’d make that decision themselves; it’d be the right thing to do, you know… *heh*).
In America, Anyone Can Grow Up To Be President
James Simpson makes a pertinent point in an American Thinker piece:
I don’t take issue with “differently abled” people who imagine they are co-equal partners with God. I firmly believe they should be entitled to all the free healthcare they need, and free room, board, and round-the-clock medications.
However, these people should be subject to some modest restraints as well. For example, they should be prohibited from purchasing a handgun. As a lifetime NRA member, I am with Brady on that one. Similarly they shouldn’t be allowed to drive. They should be let off the grounds every now and then…
But under no circumstances should they be allowed to be President of the United States!

Really, Michael Steele of all people ought to know that the “feddle gummint” has no enumerated power allowing it to even have a dog in the fight on health care. *sigh* Repugnican’ts: making the wrong argument again…
The “Good” Part of Obumacare
Leaving aside the whole “it’s completely unconstitutional” and going straight to the goodies, here’s the “positive” side of Obumacare, as presented by a Paul Shanklin parody using Randy Newman’s “Short People” as a launchpad:
