Scotland Yard Loses Discrimination Case

The “PC” world turned upside down:

A BLACK police bodyguard who protected the Duchess of Cornwall has won $70,000 compensation after suing Scotland Yard for “over-promoting” him because of political correctness._1_

Say again?!? He sued because he’d been “over-promoted” due to political correctness?

Please, oh please: someone talk this guy into emmigrating to the U.S.

heh

Over-promoted at Conservative Cat and Committees of Correspondence

Last night’s 20/20

Alan Woody, Woody’s News and Views, lists some of the high points of last night’s 20/20, featuring John Stossel. What I thought particularly interesting about the program was the lacunae. Sure, in a one hour program, it would be impossible to list everything that’s wrong with public education in the U.S. But surely his primary theme-choice, competition can do more for improving education than anything else-could have surrendered five minutes to addressing at least a couple of other major problems: fumble-headed dumbass educrats and stupid, lazy parents.

OK, so he did show a couple of the worst examples of educratic administrators/union goons in the SC ed sec and the NY teachers’ union boss. But that’s not nearly enough to demonstrate the scope of the stupidity problem in schools of education, remote diumbasses in D.C. and state capitols issuing stupid decrees, etc. And his continual painting of parents as capable of making better choices for their children’s education fails at the other end, because more and more parents are themselves products of our “prisons for kids” stupid factories and are simply too dimwitted (and often too self-involved, selfish sloths) to be able to make wise decisions about their children’s education.

Still, Woody’s link to a the Stossel article built off last night’s 20/20 might serve you well, if the subject of America going down the drain because we’re manufacturing another generation of stupes concerns you.

Minor update from a contraria n point of view. This from Fred Reed:

“Some might argue that the Cherokee in his natural habitat could not read and could not manage the rudiments of arithmetic. In this he closely resembled a high-school graduate. It is true that to some extent the gurgling adolescent of today can use a calculator. The Cherokee had nothing to calculate, a far better thing. Instead of spending twelve years unhappily learning nothing in a regimented ignorance factory, he learned nothing while running through the woods and climbing trees. The choice is, as we say, a no-brainer.”

Of course, as we know, neither the “gurgling adolescent” witlessly punching calculator buttons nor the putative Cherokee running freely through the woods learn nothing. But the relative value of learning the fundamental nihilism of our modern culture as opposed to, well, actually bringing home game to eat is, “as we say, a no-brainer.”

Guard the Borders–What is LULAC?

Another abbreviated (as well as late) blogburst post, but not one to skip. Freedom Folks is carrying the load for Euphoric Reality this week, and it’s not a post to miss. FF notes some troubling inconsistencies in LULAC, a group protesting control of our borders, and develops a rich post from them:

Well, which is it, folks? Are you all about the rights of Hispanic Americans, i.e., CITIZENS, or the Hispanic population, which includes those who have ILLEGALLY entered the country, and continue to stay and work here ILLEGALLY?

See the rest at What Is LULAC?

And do consider adding your voice to others’ with Guard the Borders.

Guard the Borders was started by Euphoric Reality, and serves to keep immigration issues in the forefront of our minds as we’re going about our daily lives and continuing to fight the war on terrorism. Dog bites man *yawn*

Nothing new, really. Oh, Joe “Mr. Plagiarism” Biden has other problems besides remembering whose words he’s stealing. Yep. He can’t even remember what he’s said, himself.

Sen. Joseph Biden (D-Del.), who grilled Samuel Alito ’72 about his CAP membership, also said that he “wasn’t a big Princeton fan.”

“I didn’t even like Princeton,” he said, to laughter from the gallery. “I mean, I really didn’t like Princeton. I was an Irish Catholic kid who thought it had not changed like you concluded it had…_Daily Princetonian_

Yeh. This after his 2004 speech at Princeton where he said, “It’s an honor to be here. It would have been an even greater honor to have come here.”

And then went on to say,

“I have three children who have mercifully all finally completed undergraduate and graduate school. And I tried to get all three of them to apply here.”

Well, of course he did. As much as he has never liked the school, I’m sure he bent every effort to get them to apply there.

Lesson: how can you tell Joe Biden, Teddy Kennedy, Jean Fraud sKerry and their ilk are lying? Easy. They are still breathing.

Up tomorrow: Stop the ACLU and Guard the Borders. Not much else.

Will it be a case of “These are not the droids you are seeking”? Stay tuned. Perspiring minds wanna know.

Time Out

A little forced quiet on this lil loudmouthed blog, until my ISP figures out why a scant 1/4″ of rain can take down 576 customers’ connections.

Back on backup dialup, and I just can’t live like that. (Hugh: I feel your pain. 🙂

IF my ISP can find where a squirrel ran across their lines and opened the spigot on my information pipe, causing severe leakages (don’t worry about understanding that: it’s highly technical jargon–heh), then I’ll be back. Until then, enjoy the silence.

Or not.

(Like, I can tell you what to do? Fav response to the jejune “Have a nice day”–“You’re not the boss of me.” 🙂

Quick Update: just looked at the “576” number again… given where my ISP (the local cable company) markets its product, that would be… just about their entire customer base in America’s Third World County. Ought to make it easier to track down the problem, eh? I’m sure they will, eventually.

*sigh*

No Records; Just More Bullshit/OP

The Junior Bloviator from Massachusetts on the NYT-induced twitter about Bush administration electronic surveillance of known terrorists’ communications:

”The leak in the White House was an effort to destroy somebody and his family and attack them for telling the truth… The leak that took place in this case is a leak that — I’m not excusing it — is to tell the truth about something that violates the rights of Americans and doesn’t uphold our Constitution.

Here, Jean Fraud sKerry compares the lame Plame case with the so-called “domestic spying” flap. His statement is so full of lies and distortions (with the little bonus of a flip-flop) that it’s a classic sKerryism. First, as even the 9/11 Commission knows and said in its report, Joe Wilson lied himself blue in his weak leak. So any, mention of bias on his part-and a possible reason for that bias-by a White House source coyuld only “destroy somebody and his family ” if it were true. The cannard that Plame was a covert agent and in danger if her CIA employment were revealed is demonstrably false. Otherwise, why was Scooter Libby not charged under the law forbidding disclosing a covert agent’s identity?

The whole Plame Game was bullshit. Jean Fraud sKerry’s a lawyer (of sorts), was a member of the Senate that passed the law. He knows he’s lying through his teeth. The whole foundation of his comparison is a lie. Typical of sKerry.

Then rthe sKerryist flip-flop: he excuses the leaks harming the effort to gather intelligence on foreign agents planning terrorist attacks on you and me. Then he says he’s not excusing the leaks. And then, of course, he finishes his excusing of the leaks (flip-flop-flip) with another lie: that the leaked information (and their presentation as domestic surveillance) is the truth.

Well, as always with Jean Fraud, yes and no. Yes, of course the NSa (and probably darned near everyone in law enforcement and intelligence circles, except for the feebs at the CIA and the FBI–those agencies once primarily tasked with the job) want to and have listened in on known savage Islamofascist butchers’ communications as often as possible. What?!? You want folks dialing numbers, emailing email addresses, that are known Al-Qaeda contacts to have free rein? Even if those calls originated inside the U.S., the monitoring was of the email accounts and phone numbers of known contacts outside the U.S.

Jean Fraud (and the NYT and all the other squawkers in the Mass Media Podpeople’s Army, the Loony Left Moonbat Brigade and their ilk) knows this, and lies about it anyway.

Why? Because he knows he’s not going to be held accountable for his lies. He’s lied his way through life. And what did he get out of it? Well, to name a few things, a wonderful Christmas Vacation in Cambodia that is “seared, seared” in his memory; a cushy Senate seat as the Senior Bloviator from Massachusett’s lapdog; a rich sugah mommie to pay for his snowboarding, etc.

Oh, and a free ride on his lies that he would (and then did) release his records. If you’ve released them, Jean Fraud, where are they? And if you have nothing to fear in the actual records, why are they still not available?

Where’s the beef, Jean Fraud?

A gross mis-carriage of “justice”

I heard about this today on Sean Hannity’s show, but left the car (and, therefore, the radio) before I heard any real details. Wizbang! sends me over to the Burlington Free Press, which has the full story:

A Williston man who admitted repeatedly sexually assaulting a young girl for four years was sentenced Wednesday to spend 60 days in prison — a punishment that angered the victim’s family but was defended by the judge as the only way to provide counseling for the perpetrator.

“Counseling for the perpetrator”?! Screw him, it’s that poor child he raped who needs counseling! It boggles my mind that anyone in the legal system should have more empathy and concern for the criminal, rather than for the victim. There is absolutely no excuse whatsoever for this kind of criminal behavior: when convicted beyond reasonable doubt by a jury (and especially after admitting guilt), this cretin should have been incarcerated immediately!

Hulett began sexually abusing the girl — a friend’s daughter — when she was 6, and the conduct continued until the girl turned 10 in April, according to court papers and testimony Wednesday from the girl’s relatives. [emph. mine]

Frankly, this man ought to have been given at least the eight years the prosecutor was aiming for, and preferably the life sentence he was facing. When the judge only gave this 60-day sentence, he spit in the face of the legal system, justice, and the victim and her family. Judge Edward Cashman ought to be removed from the bench, disbarred, and drawn and quartered!

Prosecutors wanted Hulett incarcerated for at least eight years, and in impassioned pleas the girl’s family members asked for a stern sentence. Cashman, though, told the crowded courtroom that punishment was not his priority in sentencing Hulett, but rather finding treatment for the man to prevent future abuse.

“This is not a situation where I’m doing this for the family,” he said. “My heart goes out to this family, and I would hate to be in the situation this family is. But there’s other families out there, and there’s other people who could be victimized, and I’m trying to take the long view.”

Later, Cashman added that a lengthy prison term “will accomplish nothing but to harden this fellow.”

“Harden the fellow”? Hel-LO? Reality check, here: if this piece of shit masquerading as a human was already raping a SIX YEAR OLD, how much more hardened could he possibly get? Throw him in the deepest, darkest pit of the jail, lock the door, and throw away the key!

Prosecutor Nicole Andreson said punishment is a valid component of a sentence.

“This is not only about Mr. Hulett,” Andreson said in arguing for an eight-year minimum. “To sentence him to any less demeans the level of trauma he has caused. To sentence him to any less will send a disturbing message of tolerance to the community.”

Cashman disagreed, saying retribution “accomplishes nothing of value.”

“We feed on anger,” the judge said. “That’s not my job. I’ve got to do something that solves problems. The one message I want to get through is, anger doesn’t solve anything.”

Anger doesn’t solve anything? Oh, yes, it bloody well does! Righteous anger drives us to correct wrongs, to overthrow tyrants, to fight for freedom, to protect the helpless, and to stand up for what is right! Righteous anger gave this country independence. Righteous anger abolished slavery. Righteous anger conquered Hitler. Righteous anger brought equal civil liberties.

Righteous anger ought to put this criminal away for the rest of his life, and ought to offer full support and restitution to this little girl and her family.

Hulett spoke briefly at the end of the hearing, crying as he apologized for his actions.

“I want to get treatment. I need it,” he said before officers led him from the courtroom to begin his prison term.

Oh, boo-fucking-hoo-hoo. The only treatment you need, buster, is someone to slap you upside the head every 15 minutes (every 5 minutes on Sundays) and tell you what a low-down, dirty, worthless, rotten, scum-sucking, heartless, depraved, revolting, accursed, monstrous, villainous, loathsome, disgusting, vile piece of trash you are. And that’s insulting to trash.

God may forgive you – but I sure as hell wouldn’t!

It’s all OUR fault for not crying “Bullshit!”

NO MORE BULLSHIT!

Let me loosely describe who the “our” is in the post title. “We” are people who…

See and hear politicians who are closed-minded bigots with elitist dictatorial mindsets and practices describe themselves as liberals (or “progressives”), and politicians who are roll-over-submission puppies who play “me-too” with such liberalistas call themselves conservatives… and we don’t call them on it. Instead, we let them label themselves with a lie and accept their self-labeling.

We listen attentively to creationists label their efforts “science” and call themselves ID advocates… and never question their self-labeling any more than we question neodarwinist cultists’ claims that their belief system is not a religion.

We watch homosexual advocates, demonstrators and sob sisters weep and wail and gnash their teeth over the latest self-manufactured slight of society and let them self-label their group as “gay” when their behavior and lifestyle-by their own representations and behaviors-is anything but “happy, carefree.”

We listen to Mass Media Podpeople claim to be “journalists” or news reporters, and allow them to label themselves so in stark contrast to their obvious editorializing (and sometimes outright lies-witness Blathergate) in so-called “news” reports.

Educrats tell us THE solution to education woes is to spend more money on their ideas that have already proven themselves disasterous, and we nod our heads and say, “Well, they are the experts. After all, they’ve told us they are.”

It’s our fault. Every time some person or group misrepresents themselves, their positions or the facts of any matter, we should cry, “Bullshit!”

From now on, whenever you see in print or on TV or hear in the radio or even see/hear in person someone who is obviously lying, misrepresenting the facts, twisting or attempting to decieve about their positions or policies, or mislabeling themselves or their group, throw a red flag and hit ’em with a “Bullshit!” penalty. Here’re a couple of handy graphics featuring the first 21st-Century poster boy for No More Bullshit! you can use, if you wish.

Examining the Taxonomy of Congresscritters/0PEN P0ST

No, not here. That’s a project that takes serious talent and insight. Therefore, it’s being undertaken by the fine writers at TMH’s Bacon Bits, with DL taking the bit between teeth this week. I will admit to having offered some refinements to DL’s proposal (linked above), but that’s just the work of a pygmy standing on a giant’s shoulders.

I will say that the work there is vaguely reminiscent of this throw-off post wherein I attempted a very loose first approximation description of “Liberalist Personality Disorder” (and promised a description of Conservative Personality Disorder that has not yet materialized).

(Oh, maybe you should just get this book, instead. It’ll even help you understand Jean Fraud sKerry!)
