Looking Forward Into 2025

Going into 2025, one sentence keeps echoing between my ears: Let hope be not dismayed. It’s not scriptural (and, frankly, I know not whence it comes), but it does remind me of Joshua 1:9: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Political Dumbassery

Politics. #smh What leftard politicians and Hivemind Media Podpeople simply cannot understand is that their attacks on Trump’s cabinet picks are simply them digging the hole they are already in deeper. Take Kash Patel, for example. They cannot attack his record, because it is sterling. Did I say “sterling”? Nay, solid platinum. So? “Oh, yeh, let’s attack his demeanor and his attitude! That’ll do the trick! He just doesn’t fit with the FBI’s image and ethos.”

What they cannot see (because they are willfully blind) is that no rational, ethical, moral person approves of the ethos and image of the Felonious Barony of Iniquity. It is like Crabby Appleton: rotten to the core, and thus it should either be given an institutional purgative or completely razed to the ground.

The Cost

The Crosses Grow on Anzio

Oh, gather ’round me, comrades,
and listen while I speak;
Of a war, a war, a war —
where hell is six feet deep.

Along the shore, the cannons roar.
Oh how can a soldier sleep?
The going’s slow on Anzio
and hell is six feet deep.

Praise be to God for this captured sod
that’s rich where blood does seep;
With yours and mine, like butchered swine;
and hell is six feet deep.

That death does wait there’s no debate;
no triumph will we reap
The crosses grow on Anzio,
where hell is six feet deep.

~Audie Murphy (age 19).

This, from someone who left school in fifth grade to pick cotton in order to feed his siblings, enlisted in the Army with forged papers (because he was too young), was wounded in battle many times, in the course of a little over a year in theater became the most highly decorated enlisted soldier in US history, and among the honors won through “blood and sweat and toil and tears” was warded the medal of Honor at age 19.

The visceral response to war he penned in response to his experiences speaks to the price all too many have paid, pay today, and will pay in the future to purchase your liberty.

“Once is happenstance. . . “

“. . . twice is coincidence; three times is enemy action.”

By that metric, the many thousands of times government at all levels, but especially at the federal level, attacks common citizens for no legitimate reason whatsoever says government is our enemy.

Every time I see “news” about a new federal government prosecution of anyone I have to first stop and wonder if it is legitimate, because the federal government is itself arguably in the top three largest criminal conspiracies on the planet, and the INjustice Department has a (not always recent) history weighted more and more on the side of illegitimate persecutions of common folks while at the same time letting those who violate the rights of others slide. It is the direct action arm of anarcho-tyranny.

But what can ya do? They give their agents of oppression guns and badges and immunity from almost all prosecution. What to do? Take cover. Keep your head on a swivel, and duck when you see them coming. Resistance—even if it’s just passively minding your own business—can get you (and your family and your puppy and. . . ) killed and your house burned to the ground. Ask Vicky Weaver. Oh, wait. You can’t because Lon Horiuchi murdered her (while she was holding a weapon—her baby). And Lon? Oh, he got to participate in the government’s mass murder of children at Waco for a reward.

[V]PRA[P]

[Virtual] Paperwork Reduction Act [Personal]: Eliminate ALL technical/instructional material in any language I am not/am no longer fluent in (decades of little use can do that, ya know. Sometimes the rust is just too extensive *heh*). Oh, heck, at this point, unless it’s unavailable in English, eliminate all instructional material that’s not in English. Life’s too short and storage space too limited to include technical instructions I do not need to have.

Besides, my command of French, German, Spanish, and Italian is more and more sketchy as time goes on and I have less and less use for them.

Observations From A Limited, Idiosyncratic, Data Set

Given my limited data set (my own children and OPB* for example, grandchildren) I have known, it seems that, while all the babies I have known have been human, there is a brief period before they transition from intelligent infant to self-aware person. I have actually seen—or, at least I think I have—the *CLICK* when a baby suddenly thinks “Hey! I am ME!”

Before that point in time, they are still very definitely human, but thereafter, they are solidly PEOPLE.

Is it just me? Maybe.

The really sad, sad thing is that I see A LOT OF people in our society ceding their personhood to someone else’s “identity politics,” handing off the agency of their sapience to someone else’s control. Scary. But maybe the phenomenon only seems more widespread because it is so widely propagated by—wait for it— the Hivemind Media. Or, maybe the Hivemind Media is spreading the phenomenon. OR, perhaps I should embrace the power of “and.”

“Consensus Science” Isn’t. Science, That Is

Whenever I see or hear someone refer to “SettledScience®” or “consensus science” I think of the late 19th century when the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) here in the United States expressed concerns about the potential for the end of knowledge. Sadly, this is not a rare phenomenon in science, just a slight twist on the “We know it all; don’t bother us with anything new or contradictory” bent of “SettledScience®.”

Settled science or consensus science ain’t science. Settled science is a classic example of the kind of UNnatural stupidity that causes enormous harm. The most nefarious (and, I fear, widespread) form of stupidity is WILLFUL ignorance, and, due to conceptual and even pre-conceptual bias and the tendency among many to simply confirm their biases with “research,” this nefarious form of stupidity has always ALSO infected science.

In the public square, this frequently translates into “Scientism,” is a cultic adulation of “science” by fanbois who worship at the feet of “SettledScience®,” “scientific consensus” or other anti-scientific belief systems. And yes, the cult is, sadly, VERY widespread in our society.
Most people, let alone “Scientism” cultists, do not have the first clue about the scientific process and if asked about the value of falsification of a hypothesis versus replication and verification of a hypothesis (or any other aspect of the scientific process) would have no response but “Science!”

And unnaturally stupid self-made morons both abound and are the backbone of the electorate. No wonder the Framers sought to curb democratic impulses. Sadly. . . *sigh*
