*sigh*
Time for another game of “elevator musical chairs” with so-called tech support?
OK, so that was the best that Pingtest.net could do, but what about Speedtest.net? Oh, frabjous day… not.
*arrrggghhh!*
"In a democracy (‘rule by mob’), those who refuse to learn from history will be the majority and will dictate that everyone else suffer for their ignorance."
And that’s all we get? You don’t even tell us what computer or what the problem was, or anything?
Yep. That’s all you get, Mel. It pretty much doesn’t matter whether it’s an HP (whose notebooks generally suck dead bunnies through a straw in terms of construction quality, IMO), Sony, Toshiba, Asus or… Apple notebook. I hate working on the hardware. Oh, some are easier than others (thank you, Asus) to work on, but even those are a PITA to disassemble and reassemble.
Oh, OK, a hint: a simple fan replacement that requires a complete disassembly of the entire computer (or darned near: I did get to leave the enclosure on the LCD screen mostly intact, though the screen itself had to be removed–seriously). And that was just the main issue.
