Seriously cool software:
Of course, it is designed to be used with the Thesaurus Linguae Graecae which is available only on paid subscription, and so, absent that, use of Diogenes is pretty well limited to dictionary searches without that, but it’s real useful for quick lookups as opposed to dead tree copies of Strong’s and Liddell-Scott (and seems to have a much broader base than the Strong’s Greek Lexicon).
A handy-dandy lil resource when vocab fails crop up in reading. besides, who doesn’t need more dictionary resources?
I use the Olive Tree Bible Study Software, with Strongs tagged Bibles. I find it works reasonably well for my needs. Click (or tap on a tablet or phone) on a tagged word and a pop-up appears with the Hebrew or Greek spelling, a pronunciation guide, and the Strongs dictionary entry for the word. In split screen view, I can put a Greek or Hebrew version of the Scripture I’m reading in English to give a sort of parallel bible effect. Or, I can choose multiple English versions, such as the ESV and the KJV or NASB to compare.
Still, I think I’ll give Diogenes a look.
