Obama’s Olympic failure will only add to doubts about his presidency
Well, one could hope so. As Jerry Pournelle put it yesterday,
I am not impressed with the competence of this administration’s diplomacy.

An interesting insight. Do you think it’s fair to judge Obama for not gainig the Olympic bid? Seems a bit unfair…
Of course it’s fair. He deemed it important enough to dodge his legitimate responsibilities in order to spend time to seek it, spent a lot of political and personal capital attempting to gain it and showed himself to be a shallow, egocentric buffoon attempting to pay off political hacks and cronies in Chicago, even though the city’s inhabitants were sharply and strongly divided on the issue. Moreover, he wasted federal government funds on his ego trip. That’s tax monies better spent on… well, nearly anything as opposed to just a failed ego trip for a foreign policy buffoon.
Fair? Heck, I’m being overly generous in my assessment.
