WOW! It’s a heat wave! Weatherbug says the local high school weather station is reporting 8.3°F (~-13°C) already. At 10:30 in the morning! I’d better break out the cargo shorts and sunblock.

    1. Well, Anchorage does get get its name, IIRC, from the fact that it can be used as an anchorage nearly year round. Since it benefits from both a sheltered position and the Alaska current (a warmish current flowing up British Columbia and the Alaskan panhandle/coast), it does have a wee tad better climate than elsewhere in the Frozen North. But still, it’s a tad unusual. And since earlier, well-documented warmings of our lil globe have resulted in massive snowfalls… in the Arctic and Antarctic, but NOT the temperate zones, we can’t lay this, as the village idiot, Algore, would have it, at the feet of the Global Climate Scare Hypothesis, I don’t think.
